A choice before analytics

HolisticZee uses local storage, a browser technology similar to cookies, to remember your privacy choice. Optional website analytics stays off until you choose Allow analytics. Reject optional is equally available, and free guides work with either choice.

What is stored in your browser

hz_privacy_choice remembers your choice for 180 days. It is used to apply your preference, including a refusal.

After you allow analytics, hz_client_id stores a random browser identifier and hz_first_touch stores the first page, referring website hostname, and permitted campaign labels observed with your permission. They help us understand visits and guide clicks. They do not contain your email address, completed notes, or skin profile.

When you reject or withdraw permission, this website removes both analytics items. When your 180-day choice expires, they are removed the next time the website checks your preference, and we ask again. You can also clear them in your browser settings.

Analytics and browser signals

With your permission, page paths and selected actions are sent through this website to PostHog. Session recording and advertising pixels are not enabled by this website. The analytics integration uses local storage rather than setting analytics cookies.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals override an analytics permission and keep these events off. If your browser blocks storage, optional analytics remains off.

Other services

Hosting services receive technical request information needed to load and secure the website. Fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser sends Google the technical information needed to request those files. These font requests are separate from optional PostHog analytics.

Opening an external email form, social profile, or Rico AI takes you to a separate service with its own privacy and cookie practices. Accepting analytics here does not provide consent for tracking on those services.

Change your choice

Use Privacy choices on any page to change or withdraw your analytics permission. Withdrawal stops future optional tracking and removes the website’s analytics storage; it does not automatically erase events already received by PostHog. Contact us for a personal-data request.
